Strength Shoes
Posted: 08-13-07 02:33am

I am currently using strength shoes to jump higher and become a better basketball player. I have been using them 3 days a week for 5 weeks now and it seems like I am jumping even lower then i did before I started using them, because of this I work out twice as much on workout days as the manual says but still no results. I am kind of worried because after all of my hard work I might not get any results. Someone told me that I might see the results a couple of weeks after I am done using them, does anyone know if this is true? Did anyone ever use them and seen results? Does anyone know if they actually work? PLEASE HELP ME!

I'm not sure if the strength shoes are really that effective. I hate to say this, but the strength shoe makers might have based their claims on the most efficient users to date, not the average user of strength shoes. Keep trying it and see if actual results show up. Also watch out for injuries that may arise from using strength shoes.

Your body is accustomed to doing things a certain way. When you use weighted devices like balls, probably shoes too, your body has to re-learn and re-coordinate itself in tune with this new weight. When u take the weight away(for the game) your body is way of target and not used to the ease anymore. Many times people that use weighted balls and such end up doing worse as well.

Well will I ever start to see results?

Im not an expert so I cant guarantee anything. Also, i have never used shoes so I don't know for sure if they do help or not.

The only real thing that will make you better is practice practice practice....
Practice how u would play during the game, normal weight ball and shoes.... that way u improve ur skills that are more relevant to the game.

Everyone reacts differently though, so they may help.

Can You Explain This?
Posted: 11-17-07 12:20pm

A couple of months ago I took about a week off from the strength shoe program, and I was on a fast break and dunked over a guy who had the most hops in my school. I got up so high that my head was almost at the rim and I am only 6'2". After that I never dunked on regulation again and I have been done with the program for a couple weeks now. Can you Explain this?

I recommend taking a break off of the strength shoes and leg related exercises (asides from warm ups and stretching) if you have been using it considerably. A few days, perhaps a week, then see if any change has occurred.
