I have a friend that I am concerned about who does not have normal stools.
He is 45 years old and has pain in his lower belly and his stool is always soft which he says you can tell what he had to eat when looking at it. Sometimes when he eats he gets alot of pain in his belly and he stays on the toilet for long periods of time. He has also had some mishaps which caused him to have diaherrea without being able to make it to a bathroom. He can clean himself up and it can happen again as many as 5 times. He also said that when that happens it appears to be more of a slimey mucas and has a different odor. He has been doing this for about 15 years or maybe more. It seems to run in his family thus him thinking it is normal. I know he needs to go to the doctor but there is no insurance. I would appreciate any leads as to what this might be.
Thanks,
Baj
