What pain is this? Posted: 02-26-08 05:37am
i'm pretty much in the same situation as
you with my hands. no one seemed sure
whether it was carpal tunnel, arthritis,
tendonitis ect. All i know it was getting
worse and i couldn't use my computer this
week. I've tried a few things but nothing
much has helped. the exercises don't
really help because i think all my hands
and wrists want are rest. im gonna try the
therapy garments thing as it seems
physical support is the way to go.

Hey,
listen, i understand completely how you
feel. So, along with the physical support
stuff, i would also recommend that you
improve your workstation. Thats what my
doctor told me and i haven't experienced
pain since.
I purchased a trackball mouse which has
been excellent for my hand and fingers. I
use a laptop more these days than
anything, and he recommended that i
purchase either a regular external
keyboard or an ergonomic one, as well as a
keyboard rest.
i had to wear a wrist splint for quite a
while until i got some strength back and
though its not quite the same as my left
hand, im no longer in pain, which is a
really good thing and i can actually
function and use my hand and fingers
best of luck to you....let us know how it
turns out.

Do I have arthritis? Posted: 04-08-08 10:54am
I am a new forum user, so please forgive
me if I am doing this incorrectly. I am
hoping that someone can give me some
advice. I have been having fevers (100.6
being the highest and 99.6 being average),
night sweats, joint pain and stiffness in
my fingers, wrists, hips and now my knees.
I have had at least 10 blood draws, two
cat scans and a planned mri of the brain,
and the docs are finding nothing. The
doctors are trying to find the problem but
are ignoring the symptoms. Is there
anything that can be done to ease the
pain? My hands are the worst. I am
getting sick and tired of being sick and
tired. lol. Any advice would be
appreciated!
