Ok, so I went back on bcp's after being off them for 5 months, and tried to skip my period by just going on to the 2nd pack. Well, didn't work and i got my period a few days later, but just kept taking the pills like normal since I was having sex.

Well, normally my period tapers off...each day gets lighter and lighter, and the last few days are just nasty leftover stuff.

I was sexually active with a guy who was NOT comfortable with sex during periods, so he had to wait, and when I went almost 2 days without anything happening (I wear a diva cup), I thought I was good...cause for the last 8 years, that is how my period has been.

Well, we had sex...and after we were done, we look down to realize I had bled....A LOT. He *freaked* as did I...cause that is like NOT normal. It was "fresh" bright red blood, and quite a bit...not a ton, but enough for it not to be just "leftover".

He thought it was cause of him 'hurting' me...but nothing hurt at all.

The even weirder part was after I cleaned up, there was ZERO more blood. It has been 2 days now, and no more blood has appeared.

I read somewhere about implantation bleeding and am now scared to death I am pregnant.

What the HELL could this be??????????

Thanks!

Welp, hun I don't think you have much to worry about. I have done the pack to pack method and a week later my body just said FU and bled. I thought I was off too until it looked like someone got murdered after me and my partner did the deed too. Its just your body trying to cope. Your on BC and in my opinion your body still needs to bleed, its a healthy thing for us women. Dont put to much stress on ya self for now, it the prob persists then get your OB involved. Till then I would just relax its normal

Re: Really Weird Thing Happened...please Help!
thanks, but the thing is...my period was totally normal once it started. It was actually a tad heavier than normal. My body was bleeding just fine. I normally don't skip periods...I had a good reason, i swear.

It was like sex was the sole cause. I was fine through foreplay. It wasn't until after sex we realized what had happened, and at that point, i was completely done bleeding.

Normally on my period if i bleed like that, i'll have after-residue for at least a day or 2...there was really nothing.

Yeah I see what you mean. There are a total of three times Ive missed my period. Two were bc I was PREGNANT and I knew it by the 6 wk in. My whole body just felt it, I just knew. When I skipped back in Feb, I didnt have that feeling again. Thats was scared me. I got checked out. I was fine. In all honesty I think my body was kind of adjusting itself to the NO BC.

I would give your body a little more time, its still adj to this new bc your on(granted its been two month almost three) but still our bodies are so complex and litttle things throw us off. I would say give it till the 22nd of this month then I would get a little more worried. for now just let it go

I definitely don't think you're pregnant.

Implantation bleeding is rare, and also, it's very light, NOT heavy.

Cheers to a fellow divacup user!!

Sometimes an orgasm will push out some blood after we think there's no more because the uterine walls contract. It's ok.
