I completely messed up my birth control this month. I forgot the first two pills (most important I know), and missed maybe 2 to 3 pills throughout the first two weeks. My boyfriend and I usually use condoms/withdraw but this month we did neither. I am pretty sure I ovulated, and we had sex several times throughout the month. I decided to stop my pills mid-cycle, just in case I was pregnant.

My question is, shouln't I have had spotting by missing so many pills and especially by stopping mid-cycle? I have always had problems earlier in life spotting on my BC when I missed a dose. I have been on for about 7 years now.

I know that the most accurate way for me to find out if I'm pregnant is to test, which I intend to do when it has be enought time. I am just curious if anyone else has stopped/missed their BC and NOT spotted or had a period. I am on Ortho-Tricyclen LO. THANKS!

Normally when I missed many pills, I would spot. After stopping properly after my last placebo week, it took a little longer than 27 days to get my next period, but that was a normal stop, not a mid-month stop...

Yep, all you can do is wait 2-3 weeks after the last unprotected sex, and then test.
