You poor thing!
Why do the doctors tell you not to use sleeping pills?
I just had this same operation 14 days ago and I think the sleeping pills helped me very much to rest and not need the pain medication in the night. I am sleeping better now. I guess you could also ask them if herbal remedies like chamomile tea would be acceptable. Good luck! I'm healing at the same time as you.

Sleep
I had the same procedure done two weeks ago. For the first week I had a little trouble sleeping. In fact, I found myself sleeping more during the day. It was very uncomfortable sleeping on my back, and being propped up on pillows. Now I am sleeping fine. I began sleeping a lot better once the splint/cast was removed from my nose. It will get better. I didn't use any sleeping pills. I just slept when I got really tired.

I had my nose done a month ago and I slept like a baby the first week! I don't think I've ever slept that much in my entire life. I do hope that you will be able to get a good night's sleep soon! =)
