I woke up 5 days ago feeling like I'd been on an airplane and couldn't clear my ears. Mid way through the first day one ear 'popped' and just my right ear was stuffed up. After a couple of days I went to an ENT thinking I had an ear infection. He said I didn't and it was probably TMJ. I looked it up, however and I'm not having any other symptoms of TMJ - also no cold symptoms, no fever, no pain really, but it's getting really annoying not to be able to hear properly out of my right ear. I have been going to a chiropractor for neck pain (after a minor car accident) and he says to wait a couple of weeks to see if the adjustments can help. I am worried to wait that long and very frustrated. What can it be and what can I do?
Should I really wait that long?

Ear Stuffiness
You may have swollen membranes that are blocking
the opening of the eustachian tube.
Decongestant nasal sprays, oral decongestants, such as sudefed should allow your eustachian tube
to open up. Also apply a warm moist compress to the effected ear as well.
If there is no change to the ear by tomorrow after doing the above for today,
then you should be seen to make sure there is no blockage of wax in the area.
