it is also the name of the archangel mentioned in the bible and other places, which is kinda cool if you read up on it. all those stories about leading the war with lucifer in heaven and being the prince of angels and the sword of michael protecting the gates of heaven and eden. i think it's an interesting name because of all that.

My daughter's name is Rowan, which is a tree in Ireland with red berries. Some books and websites have given meanings such as little red head, red headed, or just the colour red (she has red hair too!) but mostly everything just refers back to the Rowan tree.
