Hey everyone,

I have been suffering with gout for about 12 years now, and have had it in every joint you could name. Like everyone, I am looking for the things that may be a "miracle cure" so that I do not have to stress every time I eat a meal.

My hobby is weightlifting, so I am focused on my diet and protein consumption. I do get a lot of protein from dairy, but I like to have chicken and turkey as well, but if I overdo it, especially on turkey, I can get a flare.

Anyway, about 6 months ago, I started taking a supplement called cissus quadrangulis, which is commonly called cissus for short. It is part of the ayuvidic diet over in India, et al. I have found that I have not had any flares, and I am getting some mobility back in my ankles which have been hard hit by the attack.

I take a quarter teaspoon of the bulk cissus, twice a day, mixed with a whey protein shake.

I am curious if anyone has tried this, or has any more info on it.

Hang in there,
Ray
