Hi,

My husband is 33 years old having a creatinine 2.0. No proteins in urine. He is on ACE 2.5mg.

Creatinine is not going down. What should I do?

Should I try to switch him from ACE to ARB. I have heard about RENAAL study that ARB is better then ACE to make kidney function better.

We have a doctor in Stanford Medical Hospital but I like to keep my ears open for better opinion.

Sorry this took so long. Here are some sites that might help. There could be other reasons for high creatinine. What does his Dr. say?

Arb @ace
ARB has lesser side effects. But with initial use of ACEor ARB Creatinine levels are likely to go up 20 to 30% and then stabilise and bring down Creatinine. Your Doctor knows that.
