Try using a natural supplement like Alistrol to lower high blood pressure naturally. Some medications that are prescribed have serious side effects which no one needs. Controlling high blood pressure is very important and maintaining a healthy heart is the key.

Truly Natural
I'm all for all natural. I've actually been using a device to lower my blood pressure. Being pregnant makes me feel uncomfortable putting anything into my body, "natural" or not. I'm REALLY happy with the results.

A device? If it works... I'd love to know more!

I'm chrinic hypertensive and had my daughter early because the drugs I was on stopped working and they thought I was going to have a stroke.

There are two great devices available right now, both of which lower blood pressure. I think Veronicca is using the Resperate which is a guided breathing device. My Father used one called the Zona Plus, a handheld device that guides you through an isometric therapy session, and it lowered his systolic by 50 points. The devices are both quick, requiring less than 15 minutes a day, and easy. From my research the Zona seems to lower bp more and work better for people with resistant hypertension, whereas the Resperate is a great choice if you believe your bp is complicated by stress.

alistrol has rave reviews but it is expensive. i wouldnt be able to afford $60 a month. herbs is cheaper.
i have hbp, and high cholesterol. i take medication that destroys my libido.
i would love to take a homeopathic remedy or herbal supplement. but i am scared of getting off my medication.
why?
my medication is controlling my hbp, i m also on birth control pills and my doctor didnt want me to get on it because it can raise your pressure.
so if i take herbs, i really need them to work.
i sometimes get chest pains. months ago my heart was racing so fast.
someone please give me advice in my situation.

I recently was diagnosed with high blood pressure but I'm petrified to take meds, so I bought the resperate. The problem I have is that my systolic and diastolic are high and my heart is very low - 60-66. Sometimes I feel like I'm holding my breath too. The goal of resperate is to get you to breathe only 10 breaths a minute and then reduce to 6 breaths a minute over a longer time. I only breathe 5 breaths a minute and so when I used the machine, I started hyperventilating and got lightheaded. It was too fast for me. I sent a message to customer support, and they never responded. Their customer service is terrible. So now I'm stuck with a machine that is of no use to me. I tried it for about a week straight, and my pressure just kept get higher and higher - deep breathing for me raises my pressure. I'm very odd.

Haven't you people heard of the Breatheasy system? It works on the same basis as the Resperate but costs a fraction of the price. Some people dismiss it because it's "just" a CD program but it really accomplishes the same thing, maybe even better. It slows your breathing and the music is fantastic and really relaxing.

Weight is a major contributor in elevated blood pressure, reasonable changes in diet and excercise could serve you much better other drug alternatives. If nothing else the side effects are pretty nice.

hi people!

This is just a suggestion for those of you who may want to try ayurvedic treatment for hbp. Google the name mukta vati. Read abt it and make your own analysis. I bought mine off ebay. The goal of muktavati besides lowring ur bp is also to take those of you who r on meds to be off meds - permanently. I tried it for 3 months.. I know my bp is somewhat controlled being in the normal or even lower than normal range but I can't be too sure if it is due to mukta vati purely as I am also still taking my bp meds - niften -.

Do read the fine details of mukta vati esoecially if you are taking any meds that thins your blood cause this can pose danger for your health too especially if you are bleeding or having surgery done.

Hope this helps.
