Man, I never know under which forum section to post things under...Anyways...

I want to know something about condoms that might make me sound a little dim...Anyways...What do you think the best condoms are? Also, what is the spermicide there for? Well like, I know it kills sperm (lol obviously) but where do they put it? And how do I know before I use it if I could be allergic to it? I tend to get some allergic reactions from some things but not always. Is there like a test I can do myself? Anyways, any help is appreciated..

Well..
Well, trojans are a good brand to use (#1 recommended).

As for the spermicide, I believe that it is in the tip of the condom (there is a space for the cum to reside). I dunno how to test if you are allergic, but look at the ingredients on the package to see if you recognize anything you are allergic to.

:-d

Oh so like, it's at the tip of the condom so it kills the sperm when it comes out? I think that makes sense, okay. I don't know what I am allergic to, that's why I need to test it. All I know is that i'm allergic to penicillin.

I've used trojan before and it broke...I don't know why, it was pretty early on too, like before he came so there was no worries or anything. Is there a specific kind of trojans that are better?

Oh! And what's up with those trojan condoms that aren't made out of latex? They say something like they're not approved yet...Does anyone know what i'm talking about?

Well..
One time my bf and I were using the "her pleasure" and they broke 3 times in one session! Lol... So, I stuck with lubricated ones. Lol.

I have no idea about the new ones.. Sorry.

They have condoms that are not made of latex because lots of people are allergic to latex. But, they do not work nearly as well and are not recommended.
The only way you would really know if the spermicide would bother you would be to try it. I cannot use it because it gives me infections.
The best condom would just be one that fits him correctly. There is no way to know until you two try them. Trojan is good and durex is also. After you find a good fit then maybe you could try experimenting with different kinds within that brand. Like "for her pleasure" and whatnot. I prefer the normal ones, but that is just me!

Oh...Wow. Okay thanks for all the replies! How would I know if I got an infection from it? Also, are the ulta thin condoms more likely to break?

If you got an infection from an allergic reaction to the spermicide or even the lubricant, you would probably be itchy and abnormally sore. You may even get an unusual discharge. That is what happens to me anyway. The ultra thin ones are probably more likely to break simply because they are so thin, but they are still better than the non-latex condoms. Just be careful!
