I'm supposed to get my period in about 2 weeks. and today afternoon i noticed i have a brownish reddish spotting. its not heavy like my period at all. its also accompanied by minor cramps. the spotting also has like a brown mucus type of cosistancy sometimes. what could this mean? Ive been on birthcontrol for over 2 years.

I think it means you're spotting... this is pretty common on birth control.

If you're concerned, go to your ob-gyn. They'll most likely tell you the same thing: spotting on birth control, no matter when, is normal. However, they may see something I don't, since I'm not a doctor.
