I am looking for an answer to a question that I have had for a long time now. I have two tiny holes on the roof of my mouth on the hard pallette; one is on the right and one is on the left. They are very small and have a direct link to my nose. I can suck air through them and sometimes when I eat or drink food or liquid get sucked up into them and go up into my nose(sorry, that's kind of gross). Anyway, i've always had these holes in my mouth and never thought anything of it; I guess I just assumed that everyone had these. That was until I mentioned it to somebody and they told me that they didn't have anything like that. I talked to other people and nobody else that I know has these either. Atleast that is what I thought until I noticed last week that my daughter also has the same holes in her mouth! Has anyone ever heard of anything like this or know where I can get information about this? Thank you!

You might want to go to an ear-nose-throat doctor to get a diagnosis. It sounds like it may be something genetic, maybe a deformity that happened back in your family somewhere and has been passed on. It could be that extra sinus drainage cavities formed and are releasing in your mouth. The good thing is if you've had it your whole life and it has never given you problems, then it's very slim that it's anything to worry about. Just think of yourself as unique :d
