I am just wondering why you wouldn't let someone post suicide threats and self injury things. I mean, wouldn't it help the person?

Thanks for your question, Nichya.

Unfortunately, we are not able to respond effectively as a community (either in an appropriately professional manner...or in good time) to threats of suicide. Threats to harm self or others need to be handled by mental health professionals who are trained and qualified in proper short, intermediate and long-term medical protocol for these situations.

It is a great liability for the community to undertake a situation that intense. It has nothing to do with lack of ability to handle it, rather, the concept that an ONLINE forum can't have a great impact on real world threats. The purpose of ehealth is to offer medical advice. People in situations of depression should certainly ask for strategies to cope but there is a difference between a threat and asking for advice.

what train of mind of follow to end the pain?
I notice I have problems letting go. I come to tears once in a while about things that happened months (even a year) ago. I'm still pretty reasonable about it but I realize that the pain that makes me come to tears is not and I don't know how to make it go away. I'm scared because, even though I don't get suicidal, I can't seem to find a reason to live and I want to die constantly. How can I make it go away? what train of mind should I follow? it's really hard to go on with my life when I don't feel it's worth it.

I used to be able to control my depression by thinking about all that is good in my life, but eventually it stopped working. I went to see a doctor and he prescribed antidepressants. If the depression is caused by a chemical imbalance in your brain, then the medication is , I believe, the best remedy. Time to time I get off, but if something bad happens, I go back on it. Life is too short to live it in the darkness. Hope you feel better soon.

how unbelievable is this sight, you can't say how you feel. Went to the doctor with some overwhelming thoughts he did nothing. Thats why so many people kill themselves because people don't want to talk about it or help....

It always makes me laugh when people say ''if you have suicidal thoughts call 911". You do realise that who ever has such thoughts are extremely irrational and the last thing on their mind is likely to be calling 911. Your post sounds robotic and scripted to say the least.

I don't know the exact cause but some times a common sympathy and suggestion could also work to change a human behavior.
