Hi there, i have just been diagnosed with Mono. I am 35! I dont feel too bad, but quite tired. The mornings are the worst and my throat and body aches. Later in the morning i feel ok and almost normal. How much rest should i be getting, i mean should i do nothing at all for the next month, except sit and read a book or can i go walking and swimming and light excercise, i ride horses for a living, which is quite tiring. I just want to get an idea on things. I am a bit of a go getting so sitting still is not good for me!
I look forward to hearing from you as i am in Costa Rica and getting answers here from Drs is really really hard.
Please help me
Andrea

mono with fever makes you rest
I was also told I have mono. I have been out of work for 2 weeks but thats because I have fevers of 102 and body aches through out the day. Liver and speen are both enlarged, throat swollen and I have a hard time breathing. Luckly Dr. saw me today and started me on IV anti-bio, and steroids; I will be on this for the next 4 days. If I felt stightly normal I would resume my life.
