Q: Is It Ok to Take Birth Control Pills Early?

is it ok for me to take my pills 2 to 2 and a half hours early some days? there were 3 days in a row where i had to be in a meeting at the normal time that i take my pills (9:30) but for the past 3 days i have had to take them around 7 or 7:30. am i still protected?

Yeah- even if you took them 2 to 2 1/2 hours late you would be fine.

Don't make a habit of it, but it won't hurt you. Maybe switch to a more convenient time?

ok. thanks. how do you switch times? like when i start my next packet, just take them at a different time?

Yeah. If you want to switch to an earlier time, you can do it whenever, just start taking them earlier. If you want to switch to a later time, if it's just a few hours, just do it. But if it will be drastically different, I'd do it a few hours at a time.
