Okay....now that's out of my system

Dale, my dog will be spayed probably this November or December (whever she hits 4lbs) I'll get a better idea of when, Tomorrow when I take her to the vet for more shots. I'll have 'em weigh her and we'll go from there about scheduling her operation. She's a chihuahua by the way. She'll be 4 months on Saturday.

Birch this is the post of yours that caused my first comments. I think you can see why I got the idea from it that you are a meat eater. If you aren't I apologize, and even if you are, it's not my business anyways.

I flip flop like a fish out of water on this issue.

I'm not sure we 'need' to consume the fleshy, coagulated corpses of cows to sustain our biological function. In (industrialized) the world there are other ways to get your nutritional needs. 'Cept that pesky B12. Eggs and cheese, I say.

Don't get me wrong; I love a good steak (medium rare) but am so disgusted by the...

Oh, I just threw up in my mouth a little... *Birch runs to the potty*

And to the original poster, when you post on a forum you should be prepared to receive all types of opinions.

I know - I went back and looked at it, too. And as I said before, I know what a good steak tastes like, but I haven't had on in recent memory. I had 'em when I was younger...but now...thinking about it makes me...

*hic*

y'know.

The rest of the thread had me praising and agreeing with everything you said on not eating meat. Smile

It is your business if I eat meat; don't apologize for that. Get in my nose about it, get in everyone's nose about it; because that's the only way it's going to change. Cows can't talk, you have to do it for them.

But for the record, I do not eat meat.

Speaking of which, I just (barely) finished the book "Fast Food Nation". I think you'd enjoy it for it's educational information. (When I say "barely" I just mean that it really, really grossed me out and I had to skip a chapter.)

I do take that approach, it has left many of my friends and family irritated with me (not that I care because I'm irritated with their disgusting lives). I'm a bit of a nazi about it but I don't believe anyone deserves the luxury of not knowing exactly what they do while shoving macdonalds in their faces. They would just rather not know how their meat and milk gets to their plates and cups, and I don't believe that they have the right to not know. I will look for the book, thanks.
