Q: What Are Your Fears??
asked by: Lion79 on August 7th, 2007

I ask this now because there's a huge bug that I'm really afraid of in the kitchen. I've just attempted to infiltrate the area armed with a can of deodorant but was unable to execute. omg, seriously someone come over and chuck it out the window for me!!

In case you're wondering, it's a daddy long legs, or a harvestman or whatever they're called. I REALLY hate them.

Don't like spiders either but I can handle them if they're in the room and not on me. although when we were in the country last year for holiday there were massive spiders above the shower and one night I wouldn't go in and ended up on the phone to my mam crying my eyes out lol.

I know they're harmless but...they just....omg. Shocked

I can see why you wouldn't like butterflies, cuz they flit about and I always sort of get a shock when I see one but then realise it's a butterfly lol.

I wish I was afraid of something I never see, like snakes.

I fear death. Not my own, but to be left behind by everyone I know. I am afraid of living forever and watching everyone else I know leave me. I guess i am afraid of being with myself.

Sharks. Sad
Alligators/Crocodiles.
All bugs.
The dark. (yes, seriously)
Mirrors in the dark.
Heights.
Enclosed spaces.
Large crowds of people.
People knocking on the door when I'm home alone with my daughter.
Any kind of water that isn't a pool or bathtub. (sharks/gators/crocs)
The paranormal.

I fear people and ignorance, driving alone on the highway, celery in my food, and this god*ang heat that is making me melt. The heat index in Cincinnati last night at 2am was 83; the heat index in Death Valley at 2am was 80. Crying or Very sad

Sharks
Ok, I'm not scared of most things. Being a male around the house I'm called upon to dispose of all bugs and spiders. I accept this duty and I'm rarely creeped out.

But, for reasons unknown, I'm deathly afraid of sharks, specifically Great White Sharks!!! Shocked Shocked

Yes, I'll admit my first date with my loving spouse was to see "Jaws" in one of those big theaters in Dallas. We both clung to each as the movie scared the crap out of us Embarassed

I know others on here don't like sharks either, but I am not just scared, I'm in the "I-won't-even-put-my-feet-in-the-surf" club. I love the beach, I've been on a cruise and walked on the beach at Montego Bay (not today with the hurricane, of course), but you will never get me in the water without a fight.

I know humans have a primal fear of being eaten and a great white could chomp you up in a few bites. Haven't you people see those Natl. Geo. shows about sharks? Holy cow, great whites can leap 10-20 feet out of the water!!! I guess that primal fear is the scariest thing to me. I know other animals could eat me, but the shark is in its natural environment and is a the world's greatest predator.

Yeah I'm on duty too. What I hate most is the panic right next to my ear.

Mother: Aaaah kill it, kill it !
Sister: No don't kill it i's a living being, just leave him out ! BUT NOT TOO CLOSE OF THE HOUSE !!
Mother: Come ooon do something !
Me: "What a f-- SHUT UP AND GO AWAY I'll take care of it ! Jeez.

I fear small dark rooms, it makes me feel locked up. In my own room I always have a door or window open so I can actually see there's an exit.

You can come live with me then so that you can dispose of aforementioned bugs AND although I live on the coast I can assure you there are no great whites here! Very Happy

Well, apparently they found one down south somewhere? A couple weeks ago. But it's too cold for them here, so you're safe Razz

- Clowns!! Saw Stephen King's It when I was 5 and was scarred for life. I cried when I saw Bozo the Clown on TV. That's how bad I am

- Spiders. Mostly the larger or poisonous type

- Snakes. Enough said

- Being alone. Not like being left alone somewhere, but ending up alone or left behind

- Failure. It is a fear!

I am really scared of the dark.

I am scared of running out of time to do the things I intend to do.

I am scared of attaching myself emotionally to people, which I don't do (and miss out a great deal because of).
