Hi!

I'm 43 yo male from Romania.
I've had back surgery 6 years ago. L5-L6 disk was ruptured and surgeon removes parts of ruptured disk and cleans the place.
8 months ago I start running with good results.
I was feeling much healthier and in shape.
But 3 weeks ago back pain was back. I have impression that was because too much running.
Should I wait to heal and resume running?
Should I stop running?
There are other exercises more suitable after back surgery?

Yes, there are other options other than running. Running is so HARD on your joints! If you like running, are you looking for an aerobic workout? Something to get your heart and lungs going?

You can reduce your milage and go in for an orthotic evaluation. Running with "bad feet" can really cause your back to hurt. Make sure you are doing other good back exercises, and stretching. If the pain continues or worsens, you will need to lay off and visit a physician.
