May Be Paranoid....please Help
Posted: 08-06-07 17:54pm

My husband had a "friction burn" from masturbation... a couple of days after we had sex I had some redness and irritation in my vagina... i have been faithful and my husband claimed he was faithful also and he would prove to me with std testing...so we went to the doc together... he passed all the tests they gave which were chlaymidia, syphillis, and gonorrhea. I came back positive with bacteria in the urine which she said was a bladder infection... she said she couldn't test him for herpes via blood test because if he had a coldore it would come back positive anyway... my questions are

1. His friction burn was gone in a day or two..if it were herpes would it come and go that fast? there was never any pus just a mark and it scabbed immediately

2. Herpes is a virus and not a bacteria so is it likely to be just a bladder infection?

3. I only have reddness and irritation down there...never sores or anything painful...does this sound like herpes?

any help would be appreciated...

Women often get infections of the vagina, urethra, or bladder. So there is a good chance that it is nothing more than a simple infection like the doctor said.

Is there any particular reason that you distrust your husband? Do you suspect he might be cheating for any reasons other than what you described here?
