3 days ago I noticed a hard lump in my groin area near my pelvis. It at the time was not painful, just tender to the touch. Now it is more painful and I'm getting concerned. I have not had regular periods for a few years and due to a lack of insurance, I have not been to an ob/gyn in years. I have several symptoms of PCOS including excess facial hair, weight gain around the midsection among other ones. My question is do the cysts associated with PCOS have pain that accompanies them? Does it sound like PCOS or something else all together? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

You really should go see a dr. If you don't have insurance, check to see if there's a health department in your city. Last resort, go to the ER.
I don't know anything about what you've describedn however, sometimes lumps are bartholins cysts but they really swell in either the right or left of labias (outer lip area basically). They can be small or as large as an orange, are sometimes painless and sometimes very painful.

HARD LUMP IN GROIN AREA--FEMALE
I have the same lump. the first time i got it, i did have pain with it but i put a warm rag on it and relaxed and it went away. then just yesterday while i was working after lifting something i felt the pain again but this time the lump was larger and it became so painful it was close to the pain of childbirth and was pushing against my pelvic bone. i went to the er and told me it was a hernia and i have to see a surgeon. you should go to the dr...i like you do not have insurance and rarely go to the dr--i was just lucky this happened at work so they are paying the bills but the danger is that if it is a hernia, that lump is your intestines sticking out and if they dont go back in then the circulation to them gets cut off and that tissue will die. go to the dr!

I am a 19 year old female and a few days ago discovered a pea sized lump in the crease between my thigh and vaginal area. It is slightly tender when pressed on, but for the most part does not hurt. It is freaking me out though. I've heard about small lumps being cancerous, just wandering if anyone knows if that is even a possibility. May be a swollen node, but not sure. I would go to the doctor, but I no longer have health insurance.
