Q: After Leep Procedure

i had a leap procedure a couple of weeks ago in july and the cryosurgery said do not have sex for 2 weeks well i did and it was painful. I called the doctor and she said i should of waited and she said isn't that what the paper said and i said no .

I go back in for my preop soon will this affect me in any way?

No. You should be fine. I'm assuming you meant POST-op. They are going to check to see how you've healed.

The reason for abstaining from sex after a LEEP is that the 'skin' of the cervix has been removed and it needs to have a chance to heal before you start introducing bacteria into the situation.
