Q: Time of Symptoms Hiv?

I was just wondering how long it takes to start showing symptoms of HIV; i've been having white coated dry mouth, insomnia (falling asleep at around 12 at night and waking up at 3 int he morning and not being able to sleep for more than another hour), and I just got over fatigue and swollen lymph nodes. I possibly got infected 3 months ago and everyone's telling me not to worry because it takes years to even know you have it.

Is this true? Could this be the result of a candida crisis since I started eating alot of garlic and cutting out sugar??

Edit: also I forgot to say that my tonsils are red and swollen, and i'm starting to develope reddish raised areas on the glans around the urethral opening.

Yes, it's true that many people do not develop symptoms until years after an HIV infection. Some people have no symptoms for ten years. However, some people do develop symptoms much sooner than that. Everyone is different and responds to an HIV infection in different ways.

The problem with HIV is symptoms is that most of them are pretty vague and could be signs of many types of infections. So you just can't diagnose yourself. The only way to know is to take a test.

It's much easier to get the test, than to stay worried. I'm sure a lot of us have had that same worry and fear of "The Test". I know I have. But not knowing doesn't change things and knowing even if it is positive, many new meds are doing amazing things with this disease if started early.
