Q: Stitches After Surgery

I'm sorry, I am new and couldn't find a place to ask a question about surgery except for this forum.

Anyway, I got my stitches removed last week on my back.. it was a 10 cm cut to remove a big lipoma. The skin is mostly healed, except for the middle part where one side is slightly raised higher than the other side, so you can see a little "pink" where the skin is together but not level.

Also at the very bottom of the cut, there is a similar problem with one side having "extra skin" than the other side. It healed like that because that's the way the stitches were done.

I haven't had stitches before so I was wondering if this is normal?
