I recently got off BC a month ago and I should have started my period on Wed., but it never came. I talked to a nurse at my doctors office and they said that its very normal for this to happen. I just watned to see if this has happened anyone before and how long it might take to get my period.

It happened to me as well. Do you remember how long your cycle was before you got on birth control? Mine was 35-40 days and I did actually get my period the day of my pap smear lol, in the evening, about 38 days after I got off the pills.

My ob-gyn said I might skip that month and it was totally normal. I didn't, but if I had it would have been normal.

Mine was 28 days. I was on it for 4 years. I just want to make sure that it is normal. How long do you think it will be before I get my period?

Your cycle was exactly 28 before getting on the pill? That must have been perfect for you then, since the pill's cycle is 28 days too lol.

I honestly wouldn't worry. My ob-gyn said it was normal. However, if you are nervous, please take a test!! It's such a relief to know.

should I go see my doctor to maybe get my period induced? Because I want to get back on the pill, but I can't do that until I get my next period, right?

You don't need your period to start the pills, not at all. You just have to not be pregnant. The only way to know is to test, but I don't think you are.

are you sure you don't need to have a period before starting bc?
I haven't had mine in over 5 months. I'm not pregnant. I was on bc for over 5 years. My gyno tried to put me something to induce it. No luck. I want to get back on should I just take?
