Q: Yaz: Did Not Take Sugar Pills=no Period?

I've been on Yasmin(then switched to Yaz when it came out) for 2 years. I recently went off of it for a few months but I am back on it again.

I finished my first pack today...well not exactly. I finished all of the"active" pills, but I did not take the sugar pills because I thought they were just there to remind me to take the pill. I do not have trouble remembering to take the pill at the same time everyday. However, i've read on a few posts that if you don't take the sugar pills you don't get your period?

I'm very confused. I do not have my period. It's Sunday and it would be the final day of the sugar pills if I were taking them. Should I begin the next pack tomorrow? or wait for my period to come?

I was sexually active about a week and a half ago but I've been taking the pills at the same time everday. I know my body could also be adjusting to yaz...

is there a chance I am pregnant? should I take the next pill pack or wait for my period to come until I begin the next pack? I'm so confused!

Yaz: Did Not Take Sugar Pills=no Period?
I am also on Yaz. I started it about 4 months ago. I have never taken the sugar pills and I have always gotten my period. Because you take more active pills, I think you get your period later. I did not get mine until the 2nd day into the next month's active pills. The 2nd month, I hardly got it.

I wouldn't worry about being pregnant too much. If you haven't gotten it after a week of taking the next months active pills, I would take a test. Chances are, you will get it soon.

It kind of freaked me out too the first month and I just read the entire informational pamphlet that was included LOL First time for everything. Good luck to you!

Especially eHealthy
Always take your pills on schedule no matter what your period does. It will adjust eventually.

Right! I started the next packet on the scheduled day even though I had not gotten my period yet. I started the next packet on Sunday and I think I got my period Monday night or Tuesday.

So take a deep breath! It's ok. Stress can make your period even later (I think, sounds good anyways Very Happy)

I Also Just Started Yaz
Take the white pills or don't. They are only there to keep you in the habit of taking a daily pill, while you allow for your period to happen. My doctor said just pop em out and toss em if you don't want to take them but stay on a daily schedule of using them up. They're a placebo, they have no effect on your body.
