Q: Lost Last Active Pill

I'm on Ortho Tri Cyclen lo and last night I was supposed to take my last active pill of the month. Well, I was at the movie theater when I remembered to take it and since it was just the previews and the lights were still on, I figured I could take it no problem. Unfortunately I dropped it somewhere and never found it. Since it's the last active pill I figured I'm not going to worry too much about it, it will just mean my period may start a day early, there's nothing I can do about it anyways b/c my insurance only allows me to get one pack at a time, I don't have any extras. So.. My question is, once I start the new pack should I just take precautions and use condoms for the first seven days like I am starting all over again? Is that the correct way to deal with this?

What I would do is just start your new pack one day early so it's exactly 7 days from when you dropped the pill, that way your off-week is only 7 days long. That will protect you. Otherwise, yes, you might have to use protection for a week.
