Hi,

My father is decently obese and 60 years old. He has type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure and other things.

He has experienced constant nerve pain through his left arm to the elbow for a long time now, caused by some sort of nerve problem in his neck.
The pain is relentless and he often has to sleep upright in a chair with a sling on to relieve it, only slightly.

What I would like to know is, would losing weight be of any help to this condition? and Why or why not. If anyone else has a similar problem, could you please share your experiences? I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks.
