i don't think i'm a better driver than my guy but i do know that i'm a lot more cautious. i hate nothing more than careless drivers and people who think they are invincible as soon as they get behind the wheel. they are idjits whether they are male or female.

I was gonna do this as a joke ... I'm a crap driver ..... and I can't park ...but I've never caused an accident ... and I get from A to B ...
I too think that there are a lot of idjits on the road ... and those that intimidate are the worse.

Steve's a good driver, he has occassional moments where I'm like "what where's ya lane discipline gone?" but he can park like no-one I've ever come across.

The smaller and tighter the parking space the better he is.
I've seen him parallel park in spaces where there is less than 6" clearance total - without touching either of the other cars.

I've also seen him piss people off by getting out of similar spaces Laughing

I'm a much more aggressive driver than he is and think nothing of letting other road users know what I think - Steve threatened to have the horn removed from my car Embarassed

Not far from where we live there is a section of road with half dozen roundabouts (haha gonna confuse the Americans now), they all have great visibility, so you can see on the approach if anything is coming or not.

I tend to be looking well ahead and be totally prepared and if they are clear I just drive straight thru.
It really peeves me when people drive up - being able to see there is nothing coming at all and then they STOP, wait think about moving, STOP then drive off when there actually is something coming - like errrrrr HELLO

I'm a defensive driver; and I'm good in snow since my first real winter experience was with a freaking standard-drive Evil or
Very Mad have YOU ever started from a dead stop on a steep snowy icy hill in a clutch car? It sucks. At a red light!? lol. My car had banana peel wheels so I had to really drive carefully.

Hey we have roundabouts!!

My husband is also much better at parking, but I am a better driver because I am more defensive and aware of what is going on around me. But he has a better sense of direction so maybe it's a tossup.

I really think it has a lot more to do with the person than the gender.

But I'll throw this out there anyway: Women are better drivers because our brains are better at multitasking. Therefore, we don't get easily distracted from what we're doing and can manage to change the radio station and stay in the lane at the same time.
