Basketball Feeling Under Rib Cage

Hi, I have been fighting right side rib pain for many months now. I had an ultra sound done and it shows that my gallbladder has fluid around it and that it is shriveled up. I had a HIDA scan done and my gallbladder is productive at 46%. The pain is dull and it hurts to sit as it feels like something is about to explode from my ribs. The pain turns to knife like everyonce in a while. Has anyone else had fluid or the swollen basketball feeling? I haven't heard back from my Dr. but didn't know if I should think of having it out. As anyone had these symptoms? Curious.
