Q: Sore Throat / pink Eye ?

Hello everyone, and thanks in advance for the help

I have been having this recurring condition now for about a year and a half. It does not recurr often but has now about three times in about a 2 year peroid.
I get a sore throat which steadily gets worse and then my one or both eyes seem to get a very mucusy covering when I wake up (Also very red as like pink eye).
I am wondering what this may be.
