I'm not sitting on the bandwagon. I'm
refusing to get ON the bandwagon until
there is irrefutable
proof.
You mean, irrefutable proof that you can
agree with. (re: the scientist you
believe about the pentagon, but not the
WTC towers)
(What's "O.o"
mean?)
It's a facial expression lol. One big eye
one little eye?

I have a question to ask of the posters in
this thread who are christians(meblonde01,
et al):
There are people who do not believe in
Jesus or God but they live their lives as
honest, caring, compassionate, loving,
positive, helpful, and nurturing people...
would they still go to hell because they
don't believe?

I think that's the biggest turn off for
believers and non-believers. They look at
that and go "whaaaa? A truly benevolent
god wouldn't give a darn!"

It's a tool of manipulation. Fear.
I believe in a higher power, and I do not
believe that higher power is 'humanmade'
such as you see with the organized
religions of the day.
I just checked a book out of the library
called "The Jesus Family Tomb" and I
remember hearing a buzz about it last
winter.
I wonder what it will say.

I believe so. The Bible says so, so I
believe it. Even the scientists agree he
lived, as to his being the Son of God,
they don't.
I believe he is the Son of God though.

We can do nothing good to earn our way to
heaven (Titus 3:5).
"And this is the way to have eternal life
- to know you, the only true God, and
Jesus Christ, the one you sent to earth"
(John 17:3). Most people believe in God,
even Satan does. But to receive salvation,
we must turn to God, form a personal
relationship, turn away from our sins, and
follow Him.
John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and
the life. NO ONE CAN COME TO THE FATHER
EXCEPT THROUGH ME."

Without getting into the whole religious
issue, I do believe in a supreme being of
some type (maybe even a woman!!), but I am
not a believer in organized religion. I
was raised as a Christian and I have
nothing against other people worshiping
God, Jesus, Buddha or whoever they wish.
I live my life as described by karmata
above and look forward to the end of my
life with optimism. I do believe that many
people use religion as a guide to live
their lives and they feel more comfortable
with their mortality thinking that there
may be a better place waiting for them in
heaven.
Going to heaven or hell is not a problem
because I don't believe in them. It
doesn't bother me because I KNOW I have
lived a good, caring life and I have
followed my own commandment: "Do unto
others as you want them to do to you."
You'd be surprised how well the golden
rule works in real life. My supreme being
is like my conscience, he or she expects
me to live up to internal rules I have set
up for myself to get through life.

ITS CALLED CHRISTIANITY!
So of COURSE you have to believe in Jesus
to make it to heaven.
Cant get there by good works if you deny
him. Makes sense to me.
Maybe its because you deny him and rather
worship a clay sculpture.

I don't worship anything, k thnx bai.
Wait, did you believe Buddhists actually
worship Buddha!? lmao. No, sorry. We don't
worship anyone. A buddhist could worship a
god if she or she wanted to, but buddhism
is actually a philosophy, not a religion.
Anyway, moving on...
Christianity is NOT the only religion that
believes in Heaven, yet christianity tries
to lay claim to heaven and say that
non-believers in jesus can't join.
Let me tell you this. Christianity does
not own heaven. It's not yours. You can't
rule who gets in and who doesn't, nor can
Jesus, nor can "god". Nirvana,
Enlightenment, the afterlife... Any
"location" that humans believe they go
after death... No one religion has a right
to claim this place of joy as their own.
Too many different religions believe in a
heaven for one religion to "own" it.
