Well, this is getting out of hand.
Annnyyyways...
The burden of proving Jesus' existence is on those who believe it, and wish others to believe it as well. I don't have to prove he didn't exist. That is what the burden of proof is about.
Just like I would have to prove the existence of the Loch Ness Monster, or the unicorn, or Horus the Sun God if I wanted someone to believe it. If I wrote a book on a unicorn, and espoused it's truth, wouldn't you need other sources on unicorns to believe they are true? Wouldn't you prefer those sources came from people who not only weren't ardent believers, but also not ardent disbelievers as well? Observers, so to speak.
Meblonde, I don't need a photograph to prove he existed. I need primary sources from unbiased authors. So far all I've got it "you've got to have faith" or "I was raised that way" and then people get all defensive about it. If it's so glaring obvious he lives or lived, then why is it so dang hard to prove it to me? I'm willing to listen, but everyone gets all persnickity. I need more than "take my word for it" because that's not how I live my life.
