I am having an ingrown toenail removed tomorrow. I am going to an outdoor music festival for the weekend and I am concerned about my toe. Many people have been telling me to skip the shows and stay home, but I am dead set against it. Should I ask the doctor for a foot boot? My concerns are dirt, sand, etc getting into the open wound and that a bandage wont be enough. Also I am afraid of people stepping on my toe and though a boot would give my toe alot more protection. Any thoughts or suggestions? I am staying at a hotel so I will have somewhere to clean and soak my toe after the shows.
