Right now I have a diagnosis of psychosis NOS. I think it will probably be changed to schizophrenia in the next two weeks. Did any of you have this diagnosis before being changed to schizophrenia?

It is common to diagnose Psychosis NOS initially because the criteria for a schz diagnosis includes long term observation-six months.

Best of luck to you, dianareh!

When I was first diagnosed the doctors said right away I'm schizophrenic, there was no NOS to it. This was probably because I exhibited some paranoid thoughts. However, I sometimes wonder if it's schizophrenia. I never really had problems with what is real/imagined, I just have a psychosis based on deep family issues and problems with evil.
