I am a 24 year old male. I used to be
very active, ie soccer. But after college
I don't have time for things like that
anymore. However, I just recently, ie
yesterday :p started excercising and
lifting weights again. Yesterday I
noticed a very sharp pain in my lower
back. The very bottom of my back, in my
waist area.
I don't really want to see a doctor about
this. I worked out today and didn't
experience the same pain. Yesterday I was
doing a lot of lifting with my back,
bending knees and everything, just like
you suppose too that
is when I could barely stand up after it
started hurting.
Aby suggestions? I keep trying to bend my
lower back in a way that will pop it. I
have a feeling I shouldn't be doing that,
but it seems like it would help. However,
I haven't been able to do that yet, being
it is my lower back, it is hard to find
any position to bend that area.
Thanks,
tw

You're right you shouldn't be trying to
pop your back. Trust me it won't help. I
unfortunately have experince in this area.
I had lumbar surgery a year ago after I
herniated 3 discs just by getting into my
car. Try using heat 20 minutes on about 3
times a day and also use motrin ultimately
you should see a spin specialist not
necessarily for surgery. Trust me that
should be your last resort! But a good
specialist will help you and point you in
the right direction for relief. Also,
don't do alot of bending try stooping for
awhile until this calms down.
