There is a very slim chance you have herpes. Mostly because you have never had sex. But there is one way you can pass it without having sex. If you had a cold sore on your mouth and you touched it or picked it and immediately after you touched your penis or anywhere down there, then you could have transferred Herpes Viris 1 to your genitals, which results in Herpes Viris 2. But the chances are so slim. I think your doctor is right, but if your still worried then request a blood test.

Another way to get it is if someone gave you oral sex while they had a cold sore. Those are the only ways.

And i've never had any kinds of sex including oral i'm thinking of saving it till marriage or untill i meet someone speacial because i don't want any accidents to happen. I'm supposed to go back with my dad to make sure it worked and i might get one then. But, from what i've heard of herpies it's severly painful and a liquid comes out and that never happened to me. The reason i was mixed on the ingrown hair infection was because i've never shaved that area. Is there anyway else to get a ingrown hair infection? If also forgot to metion, it's been 3 weeks and the bump has turned alot smaller and is just kinda like a little bitty red lump now.

you dont have to shave to get ingrown hairs. Sometimes they just happen. Also anything can end up infected.

It sounds like its starting to heal on its own though. I am sure thats what it was. Its like impossible to get herpes without having sexual relations.
