...To have a vaginal birth? I think about it everyday and just can't fathom whatsoever how it feels...I mean its true when they say its a watermelon coming out of an opening the size of a lemon! I can't imagine what it feels like....For those who went all natural how did it feel? And those that had pain meds, what did it feel like? C-sections? I've heard all kinds of things from "oh it was fine all I felt was a little pressure" to "it was horrible I was throwing up and felt drugged up"....I neeed to know so I can prepare myself mentally for this!! Lol it's gonna take a while so I might as well start now! Rolling Eyes

I have had two vaginal births. Both were induced. When induced your contractions come fast and strong, at the age of 17 while in labor with my first child everything went by pretty fast, and last year while in labor with my second daughter the contractions came so fast I felt like my body was being ripped apart, and breathing wasnt easy, then I got my eppadural. This was the best part, and from there, no pain at all. None. I don't want to scare you with the pain details, it was all worth it. And anytime now (my due date is the 27th) I will be doing it all again. I'm sure painful or not, afterwards you will see what a beautiful thing it really is. The watermellon thing is a bit of an exageration.Passing a watermellon sounds a lil more painful.

I have had 2 natural, spontanious, very quick vaginal births.......... They hurt, there is no getting past that, but it is the most worth while pain in the world..............The amount of pain is veriable, it deponds on the woman, ( how she handles pain) the type of labour (ie, fast, slow, babies back to mums back/ frount to back, (the back to back is ment to be more painful) and size of the baby)
both my girls were natural births, with no intervention,no drugs,i tore with both and both times I went into labour at home, 1st baby 3 hrs, second under an hour, and both hurt like hell. The pain from the contractions goes as soon as the placenta is delivered, but I felt sore down there for 5 weeks, mainly because both times I had 2nd degree tear's, but to be honest with you there is no way to tell some one what it feels like, because the feelings, the pain and the emotions associated with giving birth get all mixed up, so although I know it hurt a lot, both of my girls birthdays were filled with too much joy to remember the real pain.

Mmm it feels like someone is taking a carjack and seperating your pelvic bone, but after the shoulders are out all the pressure is gone.

Labour
I went through a lot ....I had contractions for 4 days before having my baby girl...I went in to the hospital and I wasn't dialating and I was only at 2-3 cm but I had contractions....They kept sending me home and I stayed at home until the pains were at the point where I could hardly walk...When I arrived at the hospital I was so tired from not sleeping...And I was at 4-5...They broke my water and put me on some medication to make my contractions come faster....It just feels like menstrual cramps that never go away....I got the epidueral when I couldn't handle the pain anymore...After that I didn't feel a thing ...It feels like your having a bowel movement but it's just your baby....I thought I would have done something embarrassing during delivery but everything turned out good...In the end it's all worth it!!! You get to finally hold your baby you've been carrying inside you in your arms...
