Q: Early Period really heavy : should I stop taking BC pills

I have been on birth control for 8 yr.s. I have only spotter a few times if I missed a pill. This wk I missed one day and a started my period. It is 2 wks early and really heavy. Should I stop taking the rest of the months pills? Is there something wrong?

Missing a pill while using long term birth controll pills can result in breakthrough bleeding. But yours seems abnormal --- check with youy gynecologist!
