Cyst-like Lump On Penis.
Posted: 08-01-07 14:56pm

About a month or two ago I noticed a small white lump on the left side of my penis shaft. It was about the size of a grain of rice, did not hurt, and was quite hard. Recently (the last few days) it has become more soft, red, swollen and painful.

I have to say there is no way I picked it up sexually as my girlfriend and I do not have intercourse. I DO, however, have oral sex frequently but neither of us have ever been with another partner.

Over the last 3 days I have had oral sex 3 times, and have noticed today that the red lump is beginning to have a purple/black spot in the middle. I'm thinking that this could be bruising from a blood vessel breaking from too much suction.

I have read on the internet about sebaceous cysts, and have seen they are harmless but can last several months. Is there anything I can put on this to make it go away, or anything I can do? I am 18, but feel sort of awkward telling my parents to see if I can go to the doctor , and I don't have the money / insurance to go on my own.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

even though you feel awkward about telling your parents, if it helps you get the assistance you need, take it. You dont want it to be something that may really make you feel awkward with your partner later on if its something that can be taken of quickly.
choose, either feel awkward now with your parents or feel awkward for the rest of your life with potentiol new lovers (if its something serious) but its your pecker d00d, thats always serious. good luck.

I began to put neosporin on it yesterday with the thought that it would not do anything at all because it is not a cut or scrape or burn. The pharmacist at the grociery told me to put any ointments in that area without the consultation of a doctor first, but I decided to just try it and if anything bad happened I would discontinue.

I am surprised to say that after 12 hours of use (I have applied 3 times) all of the black area has disappeared, the swelling has gone done significantly, the redness is fading, and the biggest surprise... It looks as it if has opened, revealing a white, moist, seed like thing (puss maybe?) and it looks as if it is draining.

I'll see what happens over the next few days.
