Q: Coming Off the Contraceptive Injection

I had depo provera for the first time at the begining of April. I had irregular periods throughout and when I was coming to the end of the 12 weeks I had a period that was on and off for 3 weeks. That was about a month ago and I'm sure that I should have had my period again last week (as I didn't have the repeat injection at 12 weeks) but it hasn't come.

I haven't got any symptoms of being pregnant, but I don't feel like my period is going to come either. The only thing that doesn't feel right is I have had a headache on and off for a week.

I know people experience lots of probs coming off the injection, but surely this is after a long time having it and not only after one dose?

Please help if you can and also let me know your experiences of depo provera.

Especially eHealthy

This doesn't sound unusual; it's common to miss/skip periods (even after having one) when coming off of birth control. I wouldn't be concerned.

well iv had 1 dose n iv goin through the sme probs atm i had my first peroid after it but now im waitin 4 my 2nd one but its doesnt seem 2 be coming in the past 3 days iv felt sick and had alot of headaches so it might be coming off the injection im still quite unsure myself =[

Ive just come off after my 2nd dose and havnt had a period thrown up n have headaches tiredness etc im sure its the injection had any1 else had these symptims after.
