Updates & Such. Posted: 07-30-07 16:37pm
Hey guys. I miss you.
Gabe is 19 weeks & 1 day.. AKA about 4
& a half months old, lol. He's doing
so great. Pushing up on his elbows,
reaching for toys, rolling over from his
tummy to his back, laughing (he does a lot
of that), & PLENTY of squawking &
screeching & yelping. I love it. We're
really starting to get a sense of his
personality. He's such a ham. He loves
people & he's such a charming boy.
He's seriously so sweet.
He's been going to physical therapy every
two weeks. He has a condition called
Torticollis. The left side of his neck is
super tight, so his head leans that way,
because he can't stretch it. He can't hold
his head in the center.. & The right
side is really weak. So we've been working
a lot on that. He's really improving. He
does great at the therapy appointments.
The physical therapist is crazy about him.
Hopefully it gets better!
I've been working an backside ton. It
really sucks. I really just want to be
home. Taking care of Gabe & taking
care of the house & stuff. It sounds
silly but I would kill to just be a
housewife. Chris has been working 50+
hours a week, too. He's trying to get a
job with the post office. They start you
at $20/hr.. That's over double what we
both make.. & You get government
benefits. If he gets its, he said he wants
me to quit my job & just be home. I so
hope he gets it.
We're kicking our roommate out. We told
him he has until the 6th to get a job, or
he's out for good. But, he went out ONE
day to get applications.. & That's
it.. So he's out. I'm not gonna deal with
it anymore. He's rude, obnoxious, &
totally unhelpful. He always has people
over & dictates EVERYTHING. It's what
he wants to watch, or video games HE wants
to play, he sits where he wants, eats what
he wants (our food, btw), drinks what he
wants, steals our cigarettes, dirties
dozens of dishes & leaves them laying
everywhere for me to wash.. & He
throws a hissy fit whenever you ask him to
clean or take out the trash or do
ANYTHING. I'm so over it. I just want to
live with MY family. Not a free-loading
"friend."
Okay, vent over.
Oh, I forgot to add that Gabe gets solids
now! He's had:
Sweet potatoes (LOVES them).
Bananas (Made him so constipated that he
didn't poop for 3 days & we had to
give him an infant suppository.. Yikes).
Prunes (Surprisingly, he enjoyed them).
& Carrots (LOVEDLOVEDLOVED them).
KRISTINA! I miss you and Gabe. I wish
you were able to get on here more. I'm
glad the physical therapy is helping Gabe,
he's such a cute cute boy. I hope Chris
gets the job. I think being a house wife
would be really great. I hope to spend a
couple years of my life one day just
staying home and raising babies and being
super domestic and such.
Good riddance to the lazy roomate!
I've been doing nothing interesting... I
filled a big red tub with water in the
backyard and Rowan splashed around in it
and then there was this chipmunk that kept
coming really close to me and I ran inside
and got peanuts and he came right up and
nibbled one that was in my hand and it was
amazing. And yes, that's the highlight of
not only my day but my entire week.
Oh, and Erik moved away. I'll tell you
about it on msn if you are interested.

I'm glad the physical therapy is helping
him. And I hope that Chris gets that job.
Wouldn't it be great if everyone that
wanted to be a sahm could be? When does
he take his test? My uncle's a postal
worker. He's been with the post office
forever and I swear he gets so much
vacation time it's insane. Last year I
swear it seemed like he was off for two
straight months. It seemed like he didn't
work almost the whole summer. but like I
said he's been with the post office
forever.

I work for the federal government and the
benefits are absolutely incredible. My
insurance is, by far, the best that I have
ever had and is SOOOOO much better than my
husband's. I really hope he gets that
job, it would be great for your family.

Hey Krissy! It's great to know you guys
are doing so well! I'm happy for you.
Your definetly doing the rightt hing by
kicking your deadbeat roomie to the curb.I
lived with my best friend and we lost our
jobs.I got another and made $2 more than
at my previous job so she decided she
would sit on her butt and get
unemployment. She said she would give me
all her money for bills since it wouldn't
be much but when it came time to give it
to me. . nope.I ended up paying for
everything, she ate all the food although
she complained about what I bought and she
vegged all day.I had to kick her out.
I hope Gabe continues to do well in his
therapy!

His practive test comes in the mail
Friday. After he reads the prep book &
takes his practice test, he can go in at
any time to take the real test. He's
applying to be a mail carrier. I really
hope he gets it!
