Hi...I'm 16 years old and I just got a blood test done for dm today. I will get the results next week...I have increased thirst, always urinating, always hungry even after eating, i'm really, really tired all the time, I vomit unintentionally after eating. I also get symptoms of hypo/hyperglycemia, and have passed out once.So i'm kinda nervous. I wouldn't be surprised if I have dm, but I do have a question. I also have cerebral palsy. Is diabetes associated with cp at all?

Hey there again. Well, you defiantly have the symptoms of a diabetic. I do not think it is associated with cp. Becoming a diabetic at first is really hard to cope with and come to reality with. I went through a lot of denial but it just becomes a part of your life and you learn to deal with it like you would any other every day routine. If you need support continue to post. I am sure this is a great group here. I am also new here. So far looks like a great place to come for resources. Feel free to ask me anything I found out I was a diabetic about 6 years ago, I am currently on an insulin pump.
