Ok. Its been 20 days since my little dumb move to have sex unprotected.
Well not 100% unprotected.
I was on my 4th day of my period, 3rd day of birth control.
If I wasn't on birth control my ovulation day would have been the 21st, so birth control takes a week to work, so I had sex on the 10th, had already been on birth control for 3 days, so it would be effective on the 15th.
So then wouldn't I be protected from pregnancy since ovulation wouldn't have came, or anyways not til the 21st?
I know people have told me my chances are slim, but I've been getting a lot of pregnancy signs.
Sick throughout the days, and mornings. (Haven't thrown up though)
Hungry
Tired
Gassy
Grumpy.
But could that be also from the pill, since I just started?
I'm on the white row of pills, is it ok to take a test?
Should I worry?

(Also, oos: ever since I started the birth control I've been having lower abdomen pain, that shoots through and goes towards my vaginal area as well. Is that something to worry about?)

So I know the only way to be sure if I'm pregnant is to test, but do you think I have a leginamite reason to worry?

No new information, hon.

You can't tell if you're pregnant from deciphering symptoms. It just doesn't work. They could be from starting the pill, from pms, from being paranoid, or anything. If you have missed your period, then you can take a test but not until then. (Check the directions on the test, they will tell you how early you can do it, some are different)

Yes you might be pregnant. We can't tell you the chances. Personally, I guess I'd chill a little, but you can never be sure.

I wish you the best of luck. Let us know how it goes.

Yeah, I know I know.
I just keep trying to puzzle it together to see if I find a way to convince myself that I am not.
I'm driving people up the wall with my constant worry.
But its hard, my mom keeps making snide comments about pregnancy, asking if my period came. So I can't quit thinking about it.
Plus, a friend of mine just became pregnant on birth control, which only hightens my worrys. :p

Maybe I can take a test today, wether or not its 100% percent accurate.
And another one at the end of my white row of pills when I start a new red one?
Just to ease my mind?

Thanks Georgia.

So are you on the inactive pills now?

If you are, there are certain birth control tests that work the first day of your missed period. If you find one, you can take it now.

I'd buy a test and wait until the directions say you can use it.

Since you are on the first month of birth control, your period may not come on time anyway. So take the test when the inactive pills are over. The hormones in the birth control will not effect the test.

It's a good thing your mom knows and can be a resource for you if you find out the unlikely bad news. Even though she will act angry and stuff. You know how parents are.

Yeah she is here to bug me and tell me stuff like
"If you get pregnant we won't let you see your bf anymore " and other stuff.
Not very supportive.

I'm taking Apri. 28 day cycle pills, with the 4th row of white pills, where you should expect your period.
I mean if I was pregnant, wouldn't I get a clear positive now already after 3 weeks?
My period is expected in 4 days. The 4th. So some tests say you can test 4 days before your missed period right?
I've always tested after sex, wether I got a period or not, just for saftey, and got the tests from the dollar store and they always gave me good results, but I never tested early with them.
Thanks!

Not every woman gets strong positives on tests in the early months, but I think most do.

Hopefully that one will be neg. too.
