Is the euthanasia debate similar to the
abortion debate?
Where and how are they different?

Usually the person deciding if they want
to die, makes the desision about
themsleves dying, everytime the person
deciding to have an abortion makes the
deciision about someone else dying.

The basic similarity is in the concept of
ones bodily atonamy.
In abortion the question is does non have
the right to remove something from their
body they do not want there and which is
attached to and feeding off of their body
against their will?
With euthanasia the question is does one
have the right to bodily atonamy so that
when they decide that they no longer wish
their body to suffer a terminal illness
they have the right to end their suffering
by having their body shut down.
Both abortion and Euthanation are about
ownership of one body. Wether the owner
of that body will make decisions for the
body or wether outsiders that bear none of
the responsibility will be allowed to coop
ownership and force their (mostly
religious) views on another.
