Q: Bug Bites Won't Stop!

I have been getting bug bites for months now. I had such a sever reaction that looked like hives with unbearable itching. I had seen three doctors and was treated for all sorts of things. I went on vacation for a week and while there it went away. My first night back in my apartment it came back. My roomate however isn't getting any bites. I thought it was bed bugs so we had our place sprayed for them. The first night back I didn't get any bites but then this morning I woke with new bumps. They aren't as big as they were before but they are more like clusters of tiny, slightly raised, white and red bumps. They're in little groups and itchy but not unbearable. Could the spray not have worked? Maybe it wasn't bed bugs, and if not, what could it be? My dog has not one flea on him and was even seen by the vet for bites, etc. Could there be something only in my room? I looked for bed bugs under my mattress, etc. this morning and didn't see any. If anyone has any answers/advice, please help! It's driving me crazy!

At first I thought that was it, but I went to two doctors and a dermatologist and I have no allergies. Also, I never get new bumps during the day, it's only when I wake up in the morning. So it has to be something going on in the middle of the night. Also, if I squeeze the bumps (I know, gross) a small waterlike substance comes out.

Bed Bug Check
Hi,
Where on your body are they biting? If upper arms, shoulders, upper back, neck, there's a good chance it's bed bugs. Just because someone sprayed doesn't mean they found the harborages, so it could be that it's bed bugs. I feel for you, believe me.
Good luck. You might also want to try food grade diatomaceous earth (DE). It's very inexpensive, and you can buy a dispenser that shoots it out in a kind of mist (except it's dry). It kills all kinds of insects, but you want to make sure you don't lay it down in clumps, because insects know to avoid that. It works by drying out the exoskeleton of insects upon contact, which brings about their death. Also be careful not to breathe it in your lungs -- if you spray it on your bed linens and floor, for instance, go away until the dust settles...maybe 15 minutes? Even if you don't kill everything, this is a great deterrent. Some people also put DE on the bites themselves -- you can try this, especially if you suspect there might be some parasitic element to what's happening to you.
