Crying or Very sad

I think I am having a problem with my gall bladder. I've always suspected that I've had gall stones now, and again. In fact last year my dr believed I had some small gall stones that were discovered through u/s while checking something out. This past week I have had stomach pains the majority of the time, and at least after one meal EVERY day, I have extreme pain, cramps, and gas, and need to use the bathroom immediately. I end up being in there for at least 30 mins, sometimes over multiple trips (becoming difficult at work). This used to happen to me once in a great while, most usually after having a really high in fat meal, that I over-ate at (like it ALWAYS happened when we went to an all you can ea buffet). I'm also as of this week feeling sick most of the day, and heartburn-which I never have.

Now starting yesterday I am having a really bad pain in my right shoulder, I guess near the shoulder blade is the best way to describe it. At times I notice the pain more than others (like right now it hurts really bad). I'm pretty sure this is related to something going on with gall stones, and/or my gall bladder from research. Has anyone experienced this before, and do you think it also could be gall bladder related? Please respond if so, I hate to go to the drs and say I think it is gall bladder related, and get laughed at.

Hi! I had my gall-bladder removed a little over a year ago...I was having the same things happen to me as you do..It got bad to the point where I had taken a couple of bites of food and end up doubled over in pain..I wonder why something wasn't done after seeing sludge in your gall-bladder? My advice is to specifically have your gall-bladder checked by sonogram, as well as have your liver and pancrease checked..if it is a problem-over time these places can be effected..let us know how things go!

I started having alot of pain in my stomach around Christmas 2006 and couldn't manage any food without pain and nausea. I decided to go to Dr who suggested I do a Ultrasound which picked up Gallstones. If you have Gallstones, it can be a very serious matter, if you don't get the Gall Bladder removed it can turn into BIG problems and infections in the Gall Bladder which can make it ten times worse. The Dr said even if you get rid of the stones, they will always come back.

I went into hospital 4 days ago and have just got home. It is a very simple procedure and I did go through quite alot of discomfort but I'm sure it was all worth it.

It's VERY important you get it checked out, the ultrasound is painless and if you have them and still decide you don't want the surgery, well at least you can learn to manage your diet around the knowing what you have.

I hope everything goes okay and I feel for you as I know exactly how it feels. Don't think that anyone will laugh at you, as the Dr should take it very serious as it's not something to be messaed around with, your health is the main priority here.
