I've been having epigastric discomfort and nausea for 2 months now. Was first dx with ulcers-no improvement with protonix. New symptoms developed with pain ruq and luq and left flank. Then endoscopy--no ulcers-mild gastritis in the lower stomach. I tried a full liquid diet for a week--with improvement of symptoms . So next was the gastric emptying study--actually showed faster emptying than normal. No other symptoms associated with dumping syndrome.
I have now had the HIDA scan with cckinjection--waiting the results. The symptoms _nausea, ruq and epigastric and left flank pain were immediately intense. Although this intensity did not stay, since the test the nausea and ruq pain have been constant and more severe than pre-testing. Is this continued elevation of symptoms to be expected or is this indicative of GB disease?
