Q: Std Worry Or Vaginal Yeast Infection?

In December of 2006, my girlfriend developed symptoms of burning while urinating, itching, and rawness of the outside of the vagina. This lasted about 7 days or so, she used over the counter meds for it since we were on vacation in Florida. We used a condom with spermicide a few days prior to the symptoms. There has not been any reoccurences since that time. I have not had any symptoms of any type of infections. No pain or drips for me. I am currently in Iraq and getting ready to return home, just want to quit worrying if something is wrong. Any advice would be appreciated. She is scheduled for a full female exam next week.

Well, I'd say, quite imply, she was allergic to that spermicide condom. Just use a regular one, and I'd she'd be fine. Stay safe in Iraq, too.

God bless.
